Do birds carry their young in their beaks?

Birds do not typically carry their young in their beaks. While some bird species, such as storks and pelicans, are known to carry food or nesting materials in their beaks, carrying their young in this way would be very difficult and potentially harmful.

Instead, most bird species carry their young in their nests, either in cavities, on branches, or on the ground, depending on the species. Some birds, such as pigeons and doves, produce a secretion called "crop milk" that they use to feed their young, while others bring food items, such as insects or small mammals, to their young in the nest.

There are some exceptions, however. For example, some species of eagles and hawks may use their talons to carry their young short distances, such as from the nest to a nearby perch. But for the most part, birds rely on their nests and other forms of care to ensure the survival of their young.
