Have you met the honey badger yet?

The honey badger, also known as the ratel, is a unique and tenacious animal that is found in Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent.

There are other animals that share some characteristics with the honey badger, such as ferrets, weasels, and wolverines, there is no other animal that is considered to be the closest relative to the honey badger.

The honey badger is in a taxonomic family of its own, called Mellivora capensis, which is derived from the Latin words for "honey" and "devourer".
