The dinosaurs

Dinosaurs were a group of large, terrestrial reptiles that lived from about 245 million years ago to 65 million years ago. They are divided into two main groups: the Saurischia (lizard-hipped) and the Ornithischia (bird-hipped). The Saurischia included the famous meat-eating dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus rex and the long-necked herbivores like Brachiosaurus. The

Ornithischia included horned and armored dinosaurs like Triceratops

and Ankylosaurus.

Are Dinosaurs Reptiles?

Reptiles, on the other hand, are a diverse group of cold-blooded, air-breathing animals that include snakes, lizards, turtles, crocodilians, and many others. While some of these reptiles may have similar features to dinosaurs, such as scales, some differences

set them apart from dinosaurs. For example, reptiles typically have a sprawling posture, whereas dinosaurs had a more upright posture. Additionally, the skull and teeth structure of reptiles differs from that of dinosaurs. They were a group of reptiles that lived during the Mesozoic.

Note, while dinosaurs were a type of reptile, not all reptiles are dinosaurs.
